🏮 Welcoming the Lunar New Year with Blessings at Code Bright Academy 🏮
Last week, Code Bright Academy was abuzz with festive cheer as our young learners took part in a Traditional Chinese Calligraphy Workshop, immersing themselves in the art and culture of the Lunar New Year. The highlight of the workshop was learning to write the iconic ‘福’ (fú) character, which symbolizes blessings, prosperity, and good fortune.
Under the expert guidance of our calligraphy instructor, @huacaiac, the children not only practiced their brush strokes but also delved into the rich history and cultural significance of this cherished Chinese tradition. They discovered how the placement of the ‘福’ character—whether upright or upside-down—holds deep meaning, signifying the arrival of good fortune into their homes.
With great enthusiasm and creativity, our young calligraphers proudly showcased their beautifully crafted calligraphy pieces. Each child took home their personalized ‘福’ artwork, adding a touch of festive charm to their homes and sharing the joy of the season with their families. 🍊✨
